Well, we came close a couple of times.
So far we’ve had:
- 1 venue not answer us outright
- 1 venue stop responding during negotiations (they got the date wrong and then didn’t answer us when we corrected it)
- 1 venue play hard ball
- 1 venue we liked but alas they are renovating next year
- 1 venue that a lot lines up except for the date and their payment terms
So, we are getting closer. It’s just we won’t stop until we find the one that is perfect for us.
Chances are though that the date will change. It may move to 6/1/25. Other couples are finding out about our original date and the nicely named 5/25/25 (the day after).
Memorial Day weekend would be nice for out-of-town travel since those working corporate jobs wouldn’t need to take a day off (except for perhaps the wedding party). That may or may not happen though.
Whatever it ends up being will make sense once we find it.
