  • Walking Down the Aisle, Our Hashtag, and Cyclical Planning

It’s been a few days since the last post already. Time is flying!

We are still in the process of sending out address and name confirmations.

Walking Down the Aisle

Emelie’s dad passed away unexpectedly in 2019, but today, Emelie’s brother in Sweden has accepted the honor of walking her down the aisle! Chris is a really great guy; I met him in Sweden this past summer, and I’m grateful he’s going to come here for his big sister!

Our Hashtag

This last week, we worked with a writer to come up with our wedding hashtag… which for now, we’ll keep a secret. 😉

You might wonder… why the hashtag so early? Don’t we have other things to secure like a venue and a date? 😂

Well, the hashtag was something that is fairly easy to do at the beginning of planning, and as we set out to get other wedding items printed, the hashtag along with the theme would be important for that.

Cyclical Planning

Sometimes it’s easier to get the simpler things rolling right as you identify them. Logistics are often not linear; they are very cyclical. Sometimes you go from A to B to C then back to B then A then B then C, etc. until it all falls into place. Then you just have to check the interactions between the components to make sure the energy moves smoothly.

What Else Is Going On

We are also still looking at photographers for our engagement photos to go on the save-the-dates, and we’re figuring out when to do a site visit for one of the venues.

You might not know this – we are also prepping for a small business market (craft/art) that Emelie got into which will be taking place in February.

So, there are lots of logistics going on.

And, since Emelie and I will be going to a personal growth event in March, the first quarter, like many years for me, is already going pretty quickly.

Our goal is to have the save-the-dates mailed either before our March trip or shortly after returning in April, depending on photographers, location confirmation, and printing timelines.

Let’s see what happens!
