After a series of events, we are closer to locking in a venue.
With the venue we are looking at, they do require caterers to be from their recommended list, so we are waiting to lock in the venue until we know the rates of the caterers (so that we aren’t locked into crazy catering rates just because we picked a particular venue).
I’m waiting to hear back from the caterers with specific quotes before locking in the location and the caterer.
I’m writing this blog post now, knowing full well the quotes from the caterers could be out of budget, but I’m optimistic they won’t be.
Once we have those locked in, the date will be official, and Emelie and I will work to get our Save-the-Dates out while we continue planning the rest of the event.
That actually works better since we can most likely find a photographer who can do our engagement photos alongside the wedding photos, plus Emelie and I are focusing on our food and fitness, so by the time we get the photos taken, we won’t even have looked the same if we had gotten them in February!
We are trusting this process to be easy, fun, and easily affordable. I hope to have more good news for you soon!
